About Rita Mae Yarns
Hey there, Maker! Thank you so much for stopping by.
My name is Cortni Robinson, I'm 24 years old and the person behind Rita Mae Yarns.
I know what you're wondering. WHO is Rita!?
Rita Mae Clasen was my great-grandmother and she was dedicated to the fiber arts. After her passing on Valentine's Day 2014, I inherited her knitting needles and crochet hooks and learned the art. I fell in love with the art of making things with string, and it's because of her. So, I created this business in memory of her - and to keep her love of fiber arts alive.
My husband, Wes, and I are the dyers behind our hand-dyed yarn line. Wes dyes all of our solid/tonal colors, and I dye all of our speckles and variegated color ways.
We thank you so much for your business and support, and look forward to serving you and our community for years to come!
We love the exquisite beauty and delicate care with which each skein is dyed by hand, and delight in the unique, one-of-a-kindness each skein lends to our knitwear.
